All used boxes can now be put to use by just a few tricks. The cost is very little and most importantly, the idea is applicable in an urban landscape for example utilizing the area of an abandoned railway station. I came to know about this technique while working as a volunteer in Denmark for a project called Adopt-a-box.

The boxes can be made out of any recycled material, such as, wood or cardboard boxes to keep the plants. You can even paint the wooden boxes if you like! The work was done with the help of only 10 volunteer works and took about a week (4-5 hours daily).

Once the boxes were assembled, the volunteers planted some vegetables and herbs. The project work aims to promote the idea of utilizing urban space and using it for gardening, and also for encouraging residents to plant their food.
